All placentas are prepared and stored according to the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practice and the State Food Safety guidelines.

*Each placenta is gently rinsed, steamed and dehydrated with fresh organic warming herbs such as lemon, chili and ginger. You may opt out of the warming herbs upon placing your order.

As placenta encapsulation is becoming more popular in North America, there isn’t enough scientific evidence to support the benefits of ingesting your placenta. However, there are plenty of birthing people who advocate and swear by their own experiences of it’s intended efficacy.

F.A.Q (Frequently Asked Questions)

  • A la carte is a French term used for ordering menu items separately rather than a set or a bundled option.

  • Absolutely! you would simply notify your hospital birth team that you wish to keep your placenta. They would then prepare your placenta in a bio-hazard bag and container for you to take home. It's important that you keep your placenta on ice until I arrive for retrieval.

  • Yes you can! Group B Strep (GBS) positive is not a contraindication for encapsulation. However, I must be notified of your status prior to contract signing.

  • Unfortunately, if you are HIV positive I am unable to encapsulate your placenta.

  • It's imperative that you notify me when your labour has begun and when you have given birth. The hours of pick up and drop off are between 9 am - 7 pm EST. I will arrive at your place of birth or the pick up location within 2 to 4 hours after notice to pick up your placenta. If I'm preoccupied with another client, I will arrange for pick up at a later date and time. In the event that I am unable to collect your placenta the day of your birth, I will provide you with instructions on what to do with it until I arrive. Retrieval & delivery fees are determined by your location if you are outside of a 30 mile radius and will be included in your contract. Pick up and delivery fees are waived within a 30 mile radius.

    You also have the option of dropping off your placenta and pick up your order at a specific location I provide if you wish to waive the retrieval and delivery fees.

  • No, I do not encapsulate your placenta with food dyes. I thoroughly rinse off any remaining dyes before the encapsulation process begins.

  • I recommend 1 - 2 inclusions per order. Anymore than 2 may overwhelm the body during postpartum recovery. You also have the option of splitting the amount of capsules, so you can have some with inclusions and some without.
